How accurate is the file size target?
The tool uses a binary search algorithm that iterates compression quality until the output is within 1-2KB of your target. Accuracy is typically within 1KB for JPG and WebP formats.
Can I compress to any custom KB value?
Yes. Besides the preset options (20KB, 50KB, 100KB, 200KB, 500KB), you can type any custom target value in the input field.
What formats support exact-size compression?
JPG and WebP support precise size targeting via quality adjustment. PNG uses lossless compression so file size cannot be controlled as precisely — we convert it to optimized JPG for exact-size output.
