Our LGPD & GDPR Commitment: Zero Data Collection
DCPIXEL operates fundamentally differently from other online tools (like iLovePDF or TinyPNG).
In compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the European GDPR, we proudly state that we do not collect, process, or store ANY of your files on our servers. All image and PDF manipulation is performed Client-Side. This means the mathematics required to convert, compress, or edit your files happen directly within your browser's memory (RAM) utilizing WebAssembly. Your sensitive documents, personal photos, and business data physically never leave your device.
1. What Are Cookies?
As is common practice with almost all professional websites this site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to improve your experience. This page describes what information they gather, how we use it and why we sometimes need to store these cookies. We will also share how you can prevent these cookies from being stored however this may downgrade or break certain elements of the sites functionality.
2. How We Use Cookies
Because DCPIXEL runs almost entirely Client-Side, our reliance on cookies is vastly lower than traditional server-based applications. We use cookies primarily for:
- Essential Site Functionality: Storing your UI preferences (like Dark Mode vs Light Mode toggles).
- Analytics & Performance: Understanding aggregated, anonymized data about which tools (e.g., JPG to PDF vs Video Compression) are most popular so we can dedicate development resources accordingly.
- Advertising: Offsetting the cost of our free tools.
3. Third-Party Cookies (Google AdSense)
In some special cases we also use cookies provided by trusted third parties, specifically Google AdSense, to serve advertising:
- The Google AdSense service uses a DoubleClick cookie to serve more relevant ads across the web and limit the number of times that a given ad is shown to you.
- We use adverts to offset the costs of running this site and provide funding for further development. The behavioural advertising cookies used by this site are designed to ensure that we provide you with the most relevant adverts where possible by anonymously tracking your interests.
- For more information on Google AdSense, please see the official Google Privacy & Terms.
4. Disabling Cookies
You can prevent the setting of cookies by adjusting the settings on your browser (see your browser Help for how to do this). Be aware that disabling cookies will affect the functionality of this and many other websites that you visit. However, disabling cookies will never compromise the security of your files, as file processing remains strictly Client-Side.
5. More Information regarding LGPD
Under the LGPD, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. However, because DCPIXEL does not require accounts, does not ask for your email to use the tools, and does not upload your files, we inherently possess no personal data tying back to your identity beyond standard anonymized analytics logs and AdSense identifier cookies.
