What content types can I encode in a QR code?
URLs, plain text, email addresses, phone numbers, WiFi credentials (SSID and password), and SMS messages. Each type follows the correct URI scheme for maximum compatibility with QR scanners.
What size should my QR code be for printing?
For business cards: 1 inch (2.5cm) minimum. For posters: 2-4 inches. For billboards: 4+ inches. Use our 512px or 1024px export for high-resolution printing.
Can scanners read a colored QR code?
Yes, as long as there is sufficient contrast between the foreground (dark) and background (light) colors. Avoid using light foreground or dark background colors, as most scanners require dark-on-light.
Do my QR codes expire?
No. Static QR codes generated here encode the URL or text directly into the pattern. They work forever without any server or subscription. Dynamic QR codes can expire, but static ones like ours do not.
