Which barcode format should I use?
CODE128 works for general text and numbers. EAN-13 and UPC-A are for retail products with fixed digit counts. CODE39 is common for inventory and ID badges. ITF-14 is used on shipping cartons.
Why did generation fail for my value?
Formats like EAN-13, UPC-A, and ITF-14 require an exact number of digits. If your input does not match, switch to CODE128, which accepts any text or number.
Can scanners read a barcode printed from a screenshot?
For best scan reliability, download the PNG and print it rather than scanning directly off a screen — screen glare and low DPI can cause misreads.
